‘Flowering Gums’ | Acrylic on canvas | 1m x 1m

This piece represents Eucalyptus flowering blossoms on Country. During summer, colour explodes from gum nuts like fireworks on these beautiful trees. The Eucalyptus is an important tree for Bundjalung people due to its many uses, such as the leaves used for body pains, fevers and chills and the bark and wood to make coolamons, canoes and shields. Many Eucalyptus trees on Bundjalung Country still bear the scars of Aboriginal people’s use over many generations.

Great top

Unfortunately I bought the wrong size but I intend to return it and get a smaller one. I bought one in 12 and one in14 as I usually take 12 but I was worried about the bust size. The 14 is way too big and even the 12 has plenty of room. I’m going to try the 10.
